Vision/Values

What We Believe:

We are an evangelical church that is part of the Southern Baptist Convention. A summary of our beliefs can be found here.

Our Vision/Mission:

Love God. Love People. Do Something About It.

Values:

Authenticity– It’s about time we, as the Church, as Christians, stop hiding behind the superficial veil. When we are honest with ourselves we desire to be part of a community that allows us to be who we really are. Everyone has worries and flaws and rather than cover them up we want The Well to be a community where people can be real with one another. (Romans 12:9-13)

Relationships– Being a follower of Christ is not about religion or a set of rules but rather a relationship. If we are serious about loving God then we will desire to enter into a relationship with Him. We want to provide an environment where people can come together and build real lasting relationships with one another. (John 13:35; 1 John 4:7-21)

Community– The Bible is filled with examples of what real community looks like. For us it’s simple; being a community means doing life together. Life can be overwhelming at times and what better way to go through it than in community with one another. Hebrews 10:19-25; Acts 2)

Service– This is where the rubber meets the road. If we love God and love people then we will naturally be compelled to do something about it. At The Well we want people to know that being a follower of Christ means we are called to action. Jesus challenges us to GO outside the walls of a building into the world around us to show them the same love that we were shown. (James 1:22-27; 2:14-18)
